Field studies

Studies proposed by Entomo-Logik are conducted using scientific methods of applied research. They aim to be part of an integrated pest management process and to enrich knowledge about biodiversity in the broadest sense. Studies are diversified and follow a rigorous scientific approach (precise protocol, bibliography, statistics, study report, etc.). They can target different insects (native and emerging pests, invasive species, beneficials, etc.) that are present in various crops or agroecosystems (grapes, orchards, market gardening, ornamental plants, etc.). These studies are intended for public or private organizations wishing to explore a specific subject in greater depth.

Damages assessment in apple

Some examples of studies that could be proposed:

  • Evaluation of the efficacy of a biocontrol method against a targeted pest, in comparison with a conventional control method
  • Impact of conventional insecticides on beneficials in a given area
  • Functional biodiversity survey in a crop
  • Assessment of the parasitism of a targeted pest

Some studies can be performed in the lab (insect behaviour, investigation of insect defences, etc.)

Monitoring of Lobesia botrana in grape

Example of studies in progress in 2026:

  • Comparison of the efficacy of two mating disruption methods against the codling moth in apple orchards
  • Comparison of the efficacy of different monitoring lures for the detection and monitoring of the European grapevine moth in grape
  • Investigation of the effects of vineyard design (hedge and tree planting, etc.) on functional biodiversity
